Who doesn’t love brunch? I do! In fact, most foodies and ladies in Singapore will agree with me that Eggs Benedict is addictive!
The idea of having all-day breakfast is definitely drool-worthy but as some might say (like me), it could be a little too overpriced sometimes. Considering the cost of the ingredients and level of difficulty of the dishes, you might notice that you just burned $12+++ to $20+++ in your wallet. Depending on how exquisite the food taste, the sense of remorse of spending so much money on eggs, bread and ham would vary.
If you are looking for somewhere quiet to chill with your friends for hours, you might like Toby’s Estate. I went there with dears a few months ago and it was actually pretty good.
Even though the walk from the MRT station is really far (we probably took 10 – 15 minutes to reach there), not only the food is worth the effort, the ambience is really cool and quiet too! I am not a fan of coffee or tea but I do love the ambience at a cafe and Toby’s Estate gives the good vibes (they are specialized in coffee, which is why you could see all sorts of coffee beans and equipments in bulks around). If only it was not that far from the train station or the bus stop. But well, light exercise before/after food is always good. Haha.
Eggs Royale
Heh. I am a sucker for poached eggs with hollandaise sauce (unlike the ones at Antoinette which doesn’t include the sauce the last time I ate there). The smoked salmon was delicious too, hopefully not too salty for you guys because I do prefer heavy taste.
FYI: Eggs Royale comes with smoked salmon while Eggs Benedict comes with ham
Breakfast Croissant with Ham
Not sure whether this is filling enough (as compared to the others) as it is quite plain in the sense that not many ingredients are added (well, of course you can order the other types breakfast croissant/add on). The croissant itself is well-crisped though. :)
A mixed of both types of sausages in their menu (Sorry, I can’t remember the names). The spicy one is delicious! Layered taste and fairly seasoned. Great with or without their special sauce, which I could not contemplate what it actually taste like.
Mac & Cheese
Mwhahaha! My favourite of all! Nothing would go wrong with cheese, really. Creamy, a little watery maybe but it’s okay since it is light enough, crunchy bread cubes and Conchiglie (a type of pasta, macaroni).
