Were you at Orchard last week, spotting us in Reds and Whites on the streets giving out information cards about HIV testing? Along with the other G+ members, we walked from Wisma Atria to Plaza Singapura and back to Orchard again just to spread the message of the importance of HIV tests. Action for AIDS is providing a simple, anonymous and affordable HIV testing (for more information: http://afa.org.sg/mts.php) that benefits anyone who is interested in getting a quick test.

HIV is a virus that causes the immune system to break down, and the underlying cause of AIDS but it does not mean that all HIV-positive individuals have AIDS (it is the last stage of HIV infection).
Even though there has not been a cure developed for HIV currently, advances in medication have allowed HIV-positive individuals to continue living an enriching life.
In order to protect yourself and protect the others, you may want to know more about how HIV is being transmitted and how to prevent it.
Whazz Up!

HIV can be transmitted in 3 main ways:
1) Mother-to-child transmission,
2) Transmission through body fluids (including blood, pre-seminal fluid, vaginal secretions, breast milk)
3) Sexual transmission, Or more specifically: Vaginal sex, anal sex involving either a man or woman, oral sex
Other ways include: Sharing needles, home or unlicensed tattooing or body piercing, accidental needle pricks and blood transfusions. Exposure to other STDs, such as gonorrhea, syphilis, or chlamydia can also increase your risk of contracting HIV.
Consider a Test if:
• The condom broke during sex
• You did not use a condom during sex
• You have multiple sex partners concurrently or over a period of time • You’ve had sex but have never been tested before.
Protect yourself!
• Use a condom for all sexual activities,
• Do not sharing needles
• maintain a monogamous, long-term relationship with a partner who has been tested and found to be free from HIV and abstinence.
(^.^)
Enough with all the information bombard. Hahaha.
Now, a group photo with all the kind bloggers and Jayne!

Affordable

Forex Trading with GK GOH FX
[advertorial]
Yeah, you didn’t read wrongly!
I have been “playing” with Forex Trading for this whole month after the crash course at GK GOH FX with Nuffnang bloggers. I lost quite a bit but fret not, I am not burning my fingers since I am dealing with “fake” money in this case.
I am never a fan of numbers and finance, which explains why I am an art student instead of a business or banking & finance enthusiast. You can also say that I have difficulty concentrating on the bullish and bearish candles Forex Trading talk which leads me to the downfall of my fake money account. =.=”
Even the useful stack of notes that could help me with winning money were hypnotizing… haha. I am probably going to be a poor lady for the rest of my life since my interest in money is so… un-motivating.
Nonetheless, believe it or not~ I really love “playing” with Forex Trading System!
Being a visually inclined person, when I see the up and down lines on the graph, it actually excites me a lot!
It is fun overall, since I am not playing with my own (real) money! Hahaha. Because I tend to lose quite a bit.
Some tips for everyone who is interested in Forex Trading:
1) Do your research, eg. read more news of different countries, especially those that you want to invest your money in their currency.
2) Study the graphs. There’s actually patterns that you can note that how it will go up or down, I learned this at GK GOH FX.
3) 見好就收 <- don’t be greedy! If you earned quite a bit already, remember to stop because you will NEVER win EVERY SINGLE TIME.
N.E.mation 6! YOU ARE THE TOP 10!
The final reveal of the TOP 10 teams for N.E.mation 6! From Fathers to Sons!!!
On 10th of September 2011 at Nanyang Polytechnic, it was the day where the top 10 is revealed for N.E.mation 6! Buzzing with excitement, the whole lecture theatre was filled with students who cannot bottle up their eagerness and nervousness to know the final results. They had worked so hard on this for so long and that was their final judgement day.
This group of students have been the most enthusiastic and energetic bunch of secondary and junior college students that I have ever seen in a competition. In my mind, the only thing I can think of was, “Wow, they really inspires people.”
No matter what these top 20 teams were thinking, I personally felt that they are all equally awesome and truly inspiring to work so hard till this stage, irregardless of being in the top 10 or not. You cannot imagine how proud I felt when each time the judges reveal the result for the teams that make it through and how sad I felt at the same time for the teams that look so disappointed. Believe me, nobody likes to lose but I trust the teams which didn’t make it through this time will emerge as stronger winners the next. Strive for the best and do what you can to earn this cool experience in N.E.mation journey with so many like-minded friends.
For the least, their friendships in my eyes are much more precious than whether or not they are in the top 10.
Congratulations to the TOP 10 TEAMS once again!
You guys should be so so so so proud of yourselves! *applaud loudly for everyone of you*
