Hey you! Yes you! If you have been wanting to make an effort in contributing to a better eco-system AND also have loads of unwanted yet good condition clothes, here’s your chance to go an eco-friendly good deed!
I have been following this group of awesome volunteer group in Singapore – World Change Agents (WCA), who are in charge of many projects such as the most prominent Blessings in a Bag. And this month, they are holding a cool event called Washing-thon at Toa Payoh Lorong 6, Open Plaza from 13th to 15th June. So what’s this event about?
We all know we have THE unwanted clothes in our wardrobe that we never really bear to throw them away because they are still pretty “new” and “wearable” and yet we don’t usually wear them. So, why not take this chance to clear your wardrobe without contributing more wastage to the environment at the same time?
DONATE, DONATE, DONATE!
Of course, there’s always Salvation Army or Karang Guni (aka rag-and-bone man) too if you missed this event. ;)

I have never really think much about being eco-friendly and be a tad more gentle to our environment until I read up some articles about it. Turns out that we are really wasting a lot of resources when all we have to do is to remember the 3 Rs – Recycle; Reuse; Reduce. By donating our clothes to those in need, we could have our old clothes reused and also reduce the amount of waste at the same time. Last but not least, it is a good deed! All you have to do is to organize your wardrobe and donate, the WCAs would settle everything else for you. Easy peasy, right?
