What is a Soap Box Derby and what is the Derby all about?
Soap Box Derby officially started in America in 1934 created for the youth. Today, it has developed to a fun-filled race around the world and for people of all ages.
LET THE GRAVITY TAKES YOU AND GO WITH THE WIND
Most of all, you don’t even need a driving license to join the super exciting car race! Additionally (for those creative ones), you get to create your own Soap Box with your own designs! Personalized cars, how do you like the sound of THAT? AWESOME ISN’T IT?!
Mediacorp will be organising Race ME – the biggest scale Soap Box Derby Event in Singapore on Sept 2, 2012 at Singapore Expo Hall 6.
What can you win?
Top prize – S$1,000
Second prize – S$600
Third prize – S$300
And there is also S$500 for “Best Dressed” and “Best Crashed”!

Each team consists of 4 members
1 Team Captain,

Registration is closing on 15 August 2012.
Glenn Ong, Muttons, Pierre Png and Desmond Tan will be competing in the celebrity race while the event is host by Jean Danker. There will also be a mini Sasuke at the event itself (for those who don’t know, watch this -> http://video.xin.msn.com/browse/catch-up-tv/sasuke-singapore) which is an obstacle courses game show.
Admission is free.
Finals are on 2nd September 2012.
