Project Hello Stranger! :D

The reason why I enjoy reading Qiuting’s (@bongqiuqiu) blog is mostly because she is one of the most positive/happy/friendly/funny blogger that I ever read about. And here’s something to share from one of her posts! Videos from Project Hello Stranger!

It is embarrassing to say that I am not exactly the most positive person on Earth and I get tired of squeezing into morning and evening trains on weekdays, being tsk-ed and tsk-ed others. Oh yeah, I complain a lot of twitter when I am pissed (which is most of the times) but that doesn’t mean that I don’t wanna be happy! I love positivity! (I don’t wanna add any “but(s)” here for any excuses, ‘coz I am guilty of not upholding my motto of life: “To spread positivity”)

How I wish I could have a group of happy and crazy friends who would do things like greeting strangers and send them hi-5s early in the morning, because I know it would made my day if someone smile so friendlily to me when I am so stoned/depressed to go to school/work on peak hour trains. But whatever! Who says I can’t just stop tweeting/facebooking when I am on the train and start observing people again (and if they ever caught me, I will just pretend that I am blind and remain stoned. lol. No lah, I will just smile and say hello if I dare to). :)

Even though, from my past experiences of staring at people on trains, they never really looked at/noticed my stares. Well, they do sleep and look stone (like me) or they simply just look at their phones (like me -.-) throughout the journey. Sad huh? Sad that I have turned into one of the replicas of the average seemingly unhappy Singaporean when I NEED TO BE HAPPY AND POSITIVE!

Never mind that because I can change and I will change, for the better and hopefully, it will last.

I just can’t help but to smile throughout the two videos. It makes me wanna jump and scream in happiness and excitement that positive people exists in Singapore and they wanna make a difference! Even if it was just a day of doing crazy things like dashing to the busy roads of Orchard and tell people to honk if they are having a great day. I WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH THESE PEOPLE!

Seriously! I want to be out there with them doing these crazy things! Imagine the explosion of happiness when I see a stranger laugh and smile because they truly felt amused and cheered up. :)

These people are inspiring. They look so happy and delighted to go that extra mile to make some strangers smile, because that is what makes them smile too and it make everyone of us smile. Isn’t it wonderful if everyone just starts to be nice to everyone else and help each other to become a better person? I want to look forward to that day where there’s a place with positive people all around us, and I shall start from myself. To be happy, we must think happy. It is all in the mind. ^^

======

By the way, I am currently helping out with FoodRevSg (FB: https://www.facebook.com/FoodRevolutionSingapore) to spread the word of healthy eating or rather, the REVOLUTION OF FOOD!

Of course, I am not asking you to eat grass everyday because I love food so much that I will not forsake any chance to eat something good. What food revolution really means is EATING REAL FOOD.  Not processed food; not junk food. REAL FOOD.

Don’t understand? Check out this video:

I will update more when I understand more about it. In the meanwhile, do check out their twitter and facebook page for more information.

    Gonna honk my horn! :) I just want to say, “Not all strangers are bad. As well as not all people you knew is good.”
