Huge amount of people flooding in Yishun Stadium from 7pm onwards tonight and it is the first time I have ever seen Singaporeans being so not-apathetic towards politics. The road was almost blocked by all the cars and amount of people getting to the rally just now.
As much as there’s many problems arose during the last 5 years, I don’t see the point of repeatedly addressing the problems but not giving us the solutions. Funny to see how the highly frustrated people cheering for the Worker’s Party whenever the latter talk about the bread-and-butter issue and the mistakes that PAP made. Errrrr….. Sorry, but I am not interested in all those.
I wish there were more interesting points given in their argument despite the crowd really almost makes me think that they are good at talking. On second thought, nah. The points that they have given is mainly aimed at the middle and lower class Singaporeans who are not happy with the government right now because of the bread-and-butter issue. They might gain support from them because these citizens are frustrated but are they able to do something different and even better than PAP? I didn’t really hear what they are going to do if they win the election, sigh. So disappointing.
Hahahaha… I think I would be one of those swing voters (mentioned in this article) that were not targeted on during this election if I were able to vote. Anyway, more interesting point of views please? Be it from PAP or WP running for the Nee Soon GRC election.

[...] #sgelection Worker’s Party Rally @ Yishun Stadium [...]
Because my new year starts after 23rd January! | LoveLivfe added these pithy words on Jan 17 12 at 7:04 PMHi,
Just my two cents worth (came across your website while trying to find pictures on rallies) Rallies are rallies.. meant to stir the patriotism in people. while i agree that it seems that the focus may come across as over-emphasising the mistakes of the incumbent, it does not mean that there are no solutions being put forth, but as voters, we will have to put them into parliament first (is it healthy to have a system where there is no check or balance). workers party not only want to be an alternative and creditable voice for Singaporeans but also promote policies which are beneficial such as making sure public flats are affordable to future generations. I humbly direct you to the link below, where you can find out more. I am quite sure that the worker party will talk about their proposed policies in the coming rallies.

Hi Singaporean!
Glad that you leave this comment! Well, everyone has their own views on these political parties and rallies. I do agree with you that rallies are rallies and they are meant to stir the patriotism in people which I believe our people really have that kind of passion during this election.
I would love to hear the WP and other parties’ voices in the parliament too, what I meant in this post is about having other points of benefiting Singapore instead of bashing the PAP blindly. We need more refreshing point of view, there are just too many people talking about the current $$$ related policies which I don’t think it’s the real issue? We need a change, that’s the real issue.
One, I don’t believe in overnight change but I would love different political parties to be in the parliament to share different thoughts and voice to represent different groups of people in Singapore.
Two, everyone has different definition about “affordable”. It’s quite a general term, isn’t it? Sentences like “making sure public flats are affordable”. Affordable in what way? Any gauge that we could have an estimate of? How much is affordable for the people? PM Lee also mentioned about “affordable” but how much is affordable? To him or to us? Our definition is probably different. Maybe what I think is $100k is more than enough to get a 3-room flat but someone else who earns much more than me thinks that $300k is affordable for them to get the same flat. Don’t you think so?
Once again, thank you for your comment!
